Our Story

My name is Brad Walker and I am a 2 time Olympian and 2 time world champion in the pole vault. Over my 20+ year career, I was able to achieve many of my goals becoming the #1 ranked pole vaulter in the world and setting an American record, but I had plenty of setbacks with injuries along the way.

In 2010 after suffering back and neck pain for several years, I elected to see a surgeon to deal with my pain. I was faced with either a nerve block or a cervical fusion. Not liking the idea of fusing the joint, I opted to get the nerve block, and knew if I wanted to get back to competition form, I was going to have to spend considerable time strengthening my cervical spine.

I began searching for a way to both strengthen my neck as well as activate the damaged joint. I found virtually no options so I started to brainstorm.

After installing eye bolts into my door frame and fashioning a strap around my head, I was able to rig a thera-band into the headband and start strengthening on the floor in my bedroom.

Coupling thoracic mobility together with my new strengthening exercises, I was able to recover from my cervical injury and continue my quest to jumping as high as possible.

In a follow up with my spinal surgeon, I explained what I had been doing and he was very intrigued. He made mention that there was nothing in the market that did what I was doing and immediately started to talk to me about getting a patent and bringing this product to the market.

In a relatively short time, we had added 4 engineers, a marketer, and a patent attorney to the team, and before I knew it, the project was up and running. Several of the engineers opened up my eyes to the diagnostic capabilities, tracking and graphing every workout, and showing the potential of what we could create. Since those early months, we have raised hundreds of thousands in funding and our project is rapidly becoming a reality.
